How to Check Additional NRC Draft List of Exclusions?

The office of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) will publish an additional draft list on June 26. As we all know, the government is updating its list of citizens of Assam, and the official published its complete draft NRC on July 30, 2018. However, those applicants who fail to find their names in the Draft got another opportunity by way of submission of Claims for inclusion. Now, before publishing the Final NRC, the NRC officials will publish an additional exclusion list to draft NRC so that excluded person can get another opportunity to file their Claims. You can visit addnl.nrcdrafts.com to check if you are affected by the exclusion list.

What is NRC Additional Draft Exclusion List?

An additional exclusion list to draft NRC will contain ONLY the names of those persons who figured in the Complete Draft NRC published on July 2018 but are subsequently found ineligible for inclusion on account of being:

  • Ineligible found during verification carried out under Clause 4(3) of the Schedule due to any reason including DV (Doubtful Voter) or DF (Declared Foreigner) or PFT (persons with cases Pending at Foreigners Tribunals) or their descendants, as applicable, discovered after publication of Draft NRC.
  • Ineligible found during hearings held for disposal of Claims & Objections.

How to Check NRC Additional Draft List of Exclusions?

You can head over to the official website of NRC Assam i.e www.nrcassam.nic.in 

Now click on the Additional Draft Exclusion viewing link i.e. addnl.nrcdrafts.com

Enter the ARN, captcha value and hit the search button.

Those persons whose Draft Status will change to the exclusion by Additional List will be highlighted therein as “Excluded in Additional List”.

Those persons already included in Draft NRC published on 30th July 2018 and not getting affected by Additional List will continue to be displayed as before.

Please note, additinal list to draft NRC will not contain the result of disposal of claims & objections.

Offline

You can also visit Designated NRC Seva Kendra OR at the office of the Deputy Commissioner/ SDO (Civil)/ Circle Officer where the Additional List for the village(s)/ward(s) will be available in a consolidated manner.

What if one finds his/her name enlisted in the Additional list (exclusions) under Clause 5?

Those persons who will be excluded will be informed individually through Letters of Information (LoI) to be delivered at their residential addresses. Such persons will have the opportunity to file their Claims at the designated NSKs within 11th July 2019. Their Claims will be disposed thereafter before the publication of Final NRC on 31st July 2019.

The entire process of NRC update is being carried out meticulously in a fair & objective manner and as per law under orders and close monitoring by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. All genuine Indian Citizens as per cut-off date 24th March 1971 (midnight) will be included in the Final NRC.
